I travel around a lot. Even when I am actually in Toronto, I still manage to spend most of my time away from my fax machine. This can be a problem, but with internet faxing the solution is also pretty straightforward: a virtual fax machine.
The first benefit I can see is that it definitely takes up a lot less space! Unless you have a mansion and space is not a factor, this is definitely a plus. MyFax!

I remember years ago, in the beginning of the internet era, companies springing up that promised to pay you to surf the net. At some point, the dot com bubble burst, and many of these little start-ups went out of business. Others were discovered as having spy-ware and for a long time I have not heard of any new attempts at the idea…
Until… now:
A new company, Agloco promises:
- that you will make money for surfing the web using a free viewbar.
- it does not contain any spyware
- to give you shares of the company, also based on your surfing behavior
- to reward you with additional payment for the people you refer who also use the viewbar

I spent half a day working on the wordpress template for this website, and realized a bit too late that this was not a good idea. What I should have done is hire someone who actually knows more about CSS and webdesign than I do. Were some of the cliche headlines used to sell these to novice internet marketers. Is affiliate marketing still going strong? I’d say it is, but it has changed dramatically.
The people who are having true success with affiliate programs are not the ones who pumped out hundreds of ugly internet pages obviously made with “money-only” in mind. Today, websites who offer real value to their visitors are using affiliate links as a way to capitalize on the service they are otherwise providing for free.
A good example are sites reviewing consumer products or posting hot deals. These websites may have spend the time and effort to find you those good deals, but if visitors purchase anything they receive a kickback. Which I think is rightfully deserved.

You own a business. You have a website. You have some visitors. Correct?
Why then are you only selling your own services or products? Fair enough, I’m not suggesting you offer your competitors on a silver plate to your clients in exchange for some sort of commission. However, consider your website as a small commercial building: you may very well keep the storefront to display your products, but why would you keep the upstairs apartments empty if they can be rented out?
It wouldn’t make sense, would it?

2) Or, they fill their site with Google Adsense ads and/or banners
