Making Money by Writing Freelance

It takes more than just willpower to become a successful freelance writer. When people ask me how I did it (although I don’t consider myself being “there”, whatever that means, yet) they are surprised how much work really goes into developing yourself as a writer.

Now, almost anyone with decent writing skills and write a blog though, and most people who put their minds to it can also make money with their blog. If marketing your own website is not your thing, or if you want to get your feet wet writing freelance, there is one site I recommend signing up for: writerlance is a great resource and it is completely free to sign up!

Although sign up is free, bloggers who recommend it to others can make a decent amount of money with the affiliate program. You have to sign up though to recommend the website and make money.

More Ad Revenue with Text Link Ads

For years I was 100% loyal to Google Adsense, which did not exactly pull in the big bucks. I found out the hard way what some other bloggers already knew: John Chow has already written about optimizing revenue from ad spaces. He too decided Adsense wasn’t compensating enough for the prime ad-real estate it was occupying, so he decided to sell the ad space himself. Similar to John, I made some changes to my advertising approach.

About six months ago I signed up the Text Link Ads, and within two months I was making more from the text link ads than I did in one year from Adsense. So essentially that increased my website’s money making potential by ten times, just by replacing my Google ad space with another ad format.
